197.9

atrirgaviṣṭhiraścaiva tathā pūrvātithiḥ smṛtaḥ.
parasparamavaivāhyā ṛṣayaḥ parikīrtitāḥ .. 197.8
ātreyaputrikāputrānata ūrdhvaṃ nibodha me.
kāleyāśca savāleyā vāsarathyāstathaiva ca .. 197.9

Matsya said—"King! I shall now name to you the Rıṣıs of the Atrı clan Śırâyana Udvalakı Śona Karniratha, Śaukratu, Gauragrivâ, Gaurajına Chaitrâyâna Ardhapanya, Bâmarathya, Gopana, Takıvındu, Karnajıhva Haraprîtı Naıdrâṇı, Śakalîyanı Tailapa, Bailaiya Atrı, Gonîpatı Jalada, Bhagapâda Saupuṣpı Chândogaiya of the Kârdamayana Śakhâ (branch) have Śyâvâśva, Atrı, Ârchanâvaśa for their Pravaras They do not intermarry among themselves Dakṣı Balı, Parnavı, Ûrnâbhı, Śılârdanı Bîjabâpî, Shırîka, Manuja Kaiśa, Gaviṣṭhıra Bhalandana have Atrı Gaviṣṭhıra and Pûrvâtıthı for their Pravaras, and they also do not marry among themselves'—1 8
