evaṃ sā bhakṣitā dhenuḥ saptabhistaistapodhanaiḥ
vaidikaṃ balamāśritya krūre karmaṇi nirbhayāḥ //
In that way the seven ascetics committed fearlessly a cruel act on the strength of the Vedic injunction and ate the cow.—11.
