vedadhāmarasaṃ cāpi yadidaṃ candramaṇḍalam
kṣīyate vardhate caiva śukle kṛṣṇe ca sarvadā //
This disc of the moon is the resort of the Vedas and the nectar. It waxes in the bright fortnight and wanes in the dark fortnight.—14.
