Where without fire, sparks appear anywhere, where arrows are fixed in bows in an unusual way, where weapons get deranged, war is sure to ensue. When these bad omens appear, the royal priest should fast for three days and pour offerings of sesamum and ghee into the fire kindled up by the wood of milky trees and afterwards the Brâhmaṇas should be fed and given gold, cloths lands which will then avert all the calamities that befall by the rage of fire.—8-11
