prajāpateriyaṃ mūrtiritīyaṃ vaidikī śrutiḥ .. 248.1 ..

Śaunaka said :—In olden days, this world was in the form of a golden egg; and this egg was in the form of Prajâpati. This is the Vedic Śruti.—1.
