*vṛṣaparvovāca
nāvadyaṃ na mṛṣāvādaṃ tvayi jānāmi bhārgava
tvayi satyaṃ ca dharmaśca tatprasīdatu māṃ bhavān //

Vṛiṣaparvan said:—“Bhârgava! I do not consider you as censurable or a talker of falsehood because I am so well aware of your truth and asceticism; therefore be pleased with me. Excepting you, none can protect me; and if you are going to leave me today, I will drown myself in the ocean, for there is no other refuge for me.”—7-9.
