*manur uvāca
buddher mohaḥ samabhavad iti yat parikīrtitam
ahaṃkāraḥ smṛtaḥ krodho buddhir nāma kim ucyate //
At this, the king Vaivasvata Manu said :—
“Lord ! I have understood that intellect begot Delusion and egoism begot arrogance, but what is intellect ?”’—13.
