*yayātiruvāca
ekadehodbhavā varṇāś catvāro 'pi varānane
pṛthagdharmāḥ pṛthakchaucās teṣāṃ vai brāhmaṇo varaḥ //

Yayâti said:--"O, Lady! Though all the four castes have sprung from one and the same body of Brahmâ, yet their duties and rules of life are entirely different from one another, and a Brâhmaṇa is superior to all."--20.
