*śaunaka uvāca
hanta te kathayiṣyāmi yayāteruttamāṃ kathām
divi ceha ca puṇyārthāṃ sarvapāpapraṇāśinīm //
Śaunaka.—“Hear you all the sacred history of Yayâti which is the dispeller of all sins. Hear it with attention, I am going to relate it to you.”—10.
