saṃhatasya tu dāyādo mahiṣmānnāma pārthivaḥ
āsīnmahiṣmataḥ putro rudraśreṇyaḥ pratāpavān //
Dharmanetra was the son of Haihaya and the father of Kunti. Kunti was the father of Saṃhata and Saṃhata was the father of Mahiṣmân. Mahiṣmân begot an illustrious son, Rudraśreṇya.—9-10.
