pāṇḍyaśca keralaścaiva colaḥ karṇastathaiva ca
teṣāṃ janapadāḥ sphītāḥ pāṇḍyāścolāḥ sakeralāḥ //
Duṣyanta was the father of Varûtha, who begot Ânḍîra, who was the father of Sandhâna. He also begot Pânḍya, Kerala, Chola, Karṇa, and their respective countries were named after them.—4-5.
