ṛṣyaśṛṅgaprasādena jajñe svakulavardhanaḥ
caturaṅgasya putrastu pṛthulākṣa iti smṛtaḥ //

Chaturaṅga, through the blessings of the sage Śriṅgi, was the promoter of his clan. He was the father of Prithulâkṣa, who begot Champa, after whose name the country Champâpurî is known. It first belonged to Malî.—97.
