teṣāmanantamabhavat pakṣiṇāṃ putrapautrakam
surasāyāḥ sahasraṃ tu sarpāṇām abhavatpurā //
The above-mentioned sons of Jatâyuh became the ancestors of different species of birds, and Surasâ, one of the wives of Kaśyapa, became the mother of serpents.—37.
