namo 'stu pāṭalāyai tu pādau devyāḥ śivasya tu
śivāyeti ca saṃkīrya jayāyai gulphayor dvayoḥ //

By pronouncing (1) पाटलायै नमः Pâtalâyai namaḥ, the feet of the Devî should be worshipped, and those of Śiva should be worshipped with the mantra शिवाय नमः Śivâyanamaḥ : Their ankles should be worshipped after pronouncing (2) शिवाय नमः Śivâyanamaḥ and जयायै नमः Jayâyainamaḥ ; after saluting Rudra with (3) त्रिगुणाय नमः Triguṇâyanamaḥ and the Goddess, with भवान्यै नमः Bhavânyai namaḥ, their shanks should be worshipped. After saluting Gaurî with (5) रुद्रेश्वराय नमः Rudreśvarâyai namaḥ, Śiva and with विजयायै नमः Vijayâya namaḥ, their knees should be worshipped. After saluting Śiva with (6) हरिकेशाय नमः Harikeśâyanamaḥ and Gaurî with वरदे नमः Varade namaḥ (the giver of boons), the thighs should be worshipped.—18-19.
