śivamabhyarcya vidhivat saubhāgyāṣṭakamagrataḥ
sthāpayeddhṛtaniṣpāvakusumbhakṣīrajīrakam //

After thus worshipping Śiva, the devotee should place before Him the Saubhâgya Aṣṭaka, the eight blessings consisting of the following eight things : clarified butter (ghee) niṣpâva (?), saffron, cow's milk, cuminseed, sugarcane (rasarâja), salt and coriander seed. All these eight things are considered as boons, and therefore their mixture is called Saubhâgya Aṣṭaka.—27-28.
