mitrāvaruṇayorvīryād vasiṣṭhasyānujo 'bhavat
agastya ityugratapāḥ saṃbabhūva punarmuniḥ //
After thus being cursed by Indra, both of them fell on the earth, where they were jointly born out of the pitcher by the seeds of Mitrâ Varuṇî and came to be known as Agastya—the younger brother of Vasiṣtha, and one of the most renowned ascetics.—18-19.
