sā tathā kṛttikopetā viśeṣeṇa supūjitā
tatra dattaṃ hutaṃ japtaṃ sarvamakṣayamucyate //
If the asterism Kṛittikâ happens to fall on that day, it becomes still more sacred, and charity, sacrifice or yapa performed then, begets inexhaustible benefits.—3.
