saṃdhyāyāṃ ca tathā maunam etatkurvansamācaret
nāntarā bhojanaṃ kuryād yāvanmāsāstrayodaśa //
The devotee, following this rite, should observe the vow of silence in the evening, and should have in the daytime no meal, till 13 months are over.—12.
