mantreṇānena dattvārghyaṃ raktacandanavāriṇā
tato 'rcayedvipravaraṃ raktamālyāmbarādibhiḥ //

Note:—(The mantra in the original is this:— भूमिपुत्र महाभाग स्वेदंङ्गोद्भव पिनाकिनः । रूपार्थी त्वां प्रपन्नोऽहं गृहाणार्घ्यं नमोऽस्तु ते ॥ The libation of water (arghya), mingled with red sandal, should be made by reciting the above mantras, and the Brâhmaṇa should be worshipped with red sandal, red flowers, and red cloths, etc.—37.
