*īśvara uvāca
athātaḥ sampravakṣyāmi sarvapāpapraṇāśinīm
sarvakāmapradāṃ ramyāṃ nāmnā mandārasaptamīm //
Śiva said :—I now relate to you about the Mandâra Saptamî, the giver of all desires, the most excellent, and the destroyer of all sins.—1.
