‘Sesamum, kuśa and mâṣa were produced from the sweat of Viṣṇu, at the time of His killing the demon, Madhu; therefore, O mount of sesamum grant me happiness. In Havya and Kavya, (in the Deva as well as in Pitṛi worship), sesamum is considered to be the best, therefore, O mount of sesamum, I salute you.’—4-5.
