udaṅmukhāḥ prāṅmukhā vā kuryurbrāhmaṇapuṃgavāḥ
mantravantaśca kartavyāś caravaḥ pratidaivatam //
The learned Brâhmaṇas should be placed, either facing the North or the East, and the cooked rice, charu (pudding), should be placed in front of each Devatâ, with recitation of the proper mantras.--32.
