aṣṭamaṃ nāradīyaṃ tu proktaṃ vai pañcaviṃśatiḥ .. 1.37 ..
The Āgneya is proclaimed as the seventh, with sixteen thousand verses; / and the Nāradīya is spoken of as the eighth, with twenty-five thousand. (1.37)
