tatastān sa tadā28mantrya mahātmā gaṇanāyakaḥ .
saṃpraviśya samudrāmbho hyantarjalagatastadā29 .. 12 . .
jajāpa rudrān śuddhātmā niścalaḥ susamāhitaḥ .

Then, having taken leave of them, that great-souled leader of the Gaṇas / entered the ocean waters and, staying beneath the water,
