Thus ends the tenth chapter, titled “Description of the Battle with Mahiṣāsura during the Goddess's Practice of Austerities,” in the first half of the Aruṇācalamāhātmya in the first Māheśvarakhaṇḍa of the glorious Skandamahāpurāṇa consisting of eighty-one thousand verses.
