bhartavyā eva yasmācca tasmādbhāryeti sā smṛtā..
sā eva gṛhamuktaṃ ca gṛhīṇī sā tataḥ smṛtā.. 15.8 ..

And since she must be maintained, she is therefore remembered as bhāryā.
She alone is called the house, and therefore she is remembered as the housewife (gṛhiṇī).
