1.4.64.1
.. sūta uvāca .. ..
Sūta said:
1.4.64.2
tatastrayodaśe varṣe vyatīte samaye tadā ..
Then, when the thirteenth year had passed at that time,
1.4.64.3
upaplave saṃgateṣu sarvarājasu pāṃḍavāḥ .. 1 ..
and when all the kings had assembled at Upaplavya, the Pāṇḍavas, 1
1.4.64.4
yoddhumāgatya saṃtasthuḥ kurukṣetraṃ mahārathāḥ ..
the great car-warriors, having come to fight, took their positions at Kurukṣetra.
1.4.64.5
kauravāścāpi saṃtasdhurduryodhanapurogamāḥ ..2..
And the Kauravas, led by Duryodhana, also took their positions. 2
1.4.64.6
tato bhīṣmeṇa proktāṃ ca naraiḥ śrutvā yudhiṣṭhiraḥ ..
Then Yudhiṣṭhira, having heard through men what was spoken by Bhīṣma,
1.4.64.7
rathātirathasaṃkhyāṃ tu rājñāṃ madhye vaco'bravīt ..3..
namely the classification of car-warriors and great car-warriors, spoke this word amidst the kings: 3
1.4.64.8
bhīṣmeṇa vihitā kṛṣṇa rathātirathavarṇanā ..
“The description of car-warriors and great car-warriors has been made by Bhīṣma, O Kṛṣṇa.” / Then Duryodhana asked his own great car-warriors this: 4
1.4.64.9
tato duryodhano'pṛcchadidaṃ svīyānmahārathān..4..
Then Duryodhana asked this of his great chariot-warriors: ..4..
1.4.64.10
sasainyānpāṃḍavānetānhanyātkālena kena kaḥ ..
"Which of you could slay these Pāṇḍavas with their army, and in what span of time?"
1.4.64.11
māsena tu pratijñātaṃ bhīṣmeṇa ca kṛpeṇa ca ..5..
It was pledged by Bhīṣma and by Kṛpa: in a month;
1.4.64.12
pakṣaṃ droṇena cāhnāṃ ca daśabhirdrauṇinā raṇe ..
by Droṇa, in a fortnight; and by Drauṇi, in ten days in battle;
1.4.64.13
ṣaḍbhiḥ karṇena ca tathā sadā mamabhayaṃkṛtā .. 6 ..
and likewise by Karṇa, who constantly dispelled my fear: in six days.
1.4.64.14
tadahaṃ svāṃśca pṛcchāmi kena kālena haṃti kaḥ ..
"Therefore I ask my own men: in what span of time can who slay [them]?"
1.4.64.15
etacchrutvā vaco rājñaḥ phālguno vākyamabravīt .. 7 ..
Hearing this speech of the king, Phālguna spoke these words:
1.4.64.16
ayuktametadbhīṣmādyaiḥ pratijñātaṃ yudhiṣṭhira ..
"It was improper, O Yudhiṣṭhira, what was pledged by Bhīṣma and the others;
1.4.64.17
tato jaye ca vijaye niścayo hi mṛṣaiva tat .. 8 ..
for to decide on victory or defeat based on that is altogether false.
1.4.64.18
tavāpi ye saṃti nṛpāḥ sannaddhā raṇasaṃsthitāḥ ..
The kings who stand ready for battle on your side as well—
1.4.64.19
paśyaitānpuruṣavyāghrānkālakalpāndurāsadān .. 9 ..
behold these tigers among men, like Kāla [Death] himself, unassailable:
1.4.64.20
drupadaṃ ca virāṭaṃ ca dhṛṣṭaketuṃ ca kaikayam ..
Drupada, Virāṭa, Dhṛṣṭaketu, and the Kaikaya;
1.4.64.21
sahadevaṃ sātyakiṃ ca cekitānaṃ ca durjayam.. 1.2.66.10 ..
Sahadeva, Sātyaki, and invincible Cekitāna;
1.4.64.22
dhṛṣṭadyumnaṃ saputraṃ ca mahāvīryaṃ ghaṭotkacam ..
Dhṛṣṭadyumna with his sons, and mighty Ghaṭotkaca;
1.4.64.23
bhīmādīṃśca maheṣvāsānkeśavaṃ cāparājitam .. 11 ..
the great archers beginning with Bhīma, and unconquered Keśava.
1.4.64.24
manyehamekastveteṣāṃ hanyātkauravavāhinīm ..
I think that even a single one of these could destroy the Kaurava army.
1.4.64.25
sannaddhāḥ pratidṛśyaṃte bhīṣmādyā bahavo rathāḥ .. 12 ..
Though Bhīṣma and many other charioteers appear armored in opposition,
1.4.64.26
tebhyo bhayaṃ na kāryaṃ te phalgavo'mī mṛgā iva .. 13 ..
you should have no fear of them; they are insignificant, like deer.
1.4.64.27
asmākaṃ dhanuṣāṃ ghoṣairidānīmeva bhārata ..
By the twang of our bows right now, O Bhārata,
1.4.64.28
kauravā vidraviṣyaṃti siṃhatrastā mṛgā iva .. 14 ..
the Kauravas will flee like deer terrified by a lion.
1.4.64.29
vṛddhādbhīṣmāddvijādvṛddhāddroṇādapi kṛpādapi..
From the aged Bhīṣma, from the aged brahmin Droṇa, or from Kṛpa,
1.4.64.30
bāliśātkiṃ bhayaṃ drauṇeḥ sūtaputrācca durmateḥ .. 15 ..
from the childish Drauṇi, and from the evil-minded son of a charioteer—what fear is there?
1.4.64.31
athavā cittanirvṛtyai jñātumicchasi bhārata ..
Or else, O Bhārata, if you wish to know for the peace of your mind,
1.4.64.32
śatrūṇāṃ pratyanīkeṣu saṃdhāvacchṛṇu me vacaḥ ..16..
listen to my words as I rush against the hostile ranks of the enemies:
1.4.64.33
eko'hameva saṃgrāme sarve tiṣṭhaṃtu te rathāḥ ..
Let me stand alone in battle; let all your charioteers stand aside.
1.4.64.34
ekāhnā kṣapaye sarvānkauravānsainyasaṃyutān .. 17 ..
In a single day I shall destroy all the Kauravas along with their forces."
1.4.64.35
ityarjunavacaḥ śrutvā smayandāmodaro'bravīt ..
Hearing these words of Arjuna, Dāmodara smiled and said:
1.4.64.36
evametadyathā prāha phālguno'yaṃ mṛṣā na tat .. 18 ..
"It is just so, as this Phālguna has spoken; it is not false."
1.4.64.37
tataśca śaṃkhānbherīśca śataśaścaiva puṣkarān ..
And then, having silenced the conches, the drums,
1.4.64.38
nivārya rājamadhyastho barbarīko vaco'bravīt .. .. 19 ..
and hundreds of kettle-drums, Barbarīka, standing in the midst of the kings, spoke these words:
1.4.64.39
yena taptaṃ guptakṣetre yena devyaḥ sutoṣitāḥ ..
Hear what is spoken by him who has performed austerity in the Guptakṣetra, who has fully pleased the goddesses,
1.4.64.40
yasyātulaṃ bāhubalaṃ tena coktaṃ niśamyatām .. 1.2.66.20 ..
and whose strength of arm is unequaled:
1.4.64.41
yadbravīmi vacaḥ satyaṃ śṛṇudhvaṃ tannarādhipāḥ ..
"Listen, O rulers of men, to the truthful word that I speak,
1.4.64.42
ātmano vīryasadṛśaṃ kevalaṃ na tu darpataḥ .. 21 ..
in accord only with my own valor, and not out of pride.
1.4.64.43
yadāryeṇa pratijñātamarjunena mahātmanā ..
As for what has been pledged by the noble, great-souled Arjuna,
1.4.64.44
na marṣayāmi tadvākyaṃ kālakṣepo mahānayam .. 22 ..
I cannot tolerate that statement; this would be a great waste of time.
1.4.64.45
sarve bhavaṃtastiṣṭhaṃtu sārjunāḥ sahakeśavāḥ ..
Let all of you stand aside, along with Arjuna and Keśava.
1.4.64.46
eko muhūrtādbhīṣmādīnsarvānneṣye yamakṣayam .. 23 ..
Alone, within a single muhūrta, I shall dispatch Bhīṣma and all the others to the abode of Yama.
1.4.64.47
mayi tiṣṭhati kenāpi śastragrāhyaṃ na kṣatriyaiḥ ..
While I stand [in battle], no weapon should be taken up by any of the kṣatriyas.
1.4.64.48
svadharmaśapatho vo'stu mṛte grāhyaṃ tato mayi .. 24 ..
May your oath be by your own duty: only when I am dead may you take [them] up.
1.4.64.49
paśyadhvaṃ me balaṃ bāhvordevyārādhanasaṃbhavam ..
Behold the strength of my arms born of the worship of the Goddess,
1.4.64.50
māhātmyaṃ guptakṣetrasya tathā bhaktiṃ ca pāṃḍuṣu .. 25 ..
the māhātmya of the Guptakṣetra, and my devotion to the Pāṇḍus.
1.4.64.51
paśyadhvaṃ me dhanurghoraṃ tūṇīrāvakṣayau tathā ..
Behold my terrible bow, and likewise the two inexhaustible quivers,
1.4.64.52
khaḍgaṃ ca devyā yaddattaṃ tato vacmi vacastvidam .. 26 ..
and the sword given by the Goddess; therefore I speak these words."
1.4.64.53
iti tasya vacaḥ śrutvā kṣatriyā vismayaṃ yayuḥ ..
Hearing his speech, the kṣatriyas were filled with amazement;
1.4.64.54
arjunaśca kaṭākṣepe lajjitaḥ kṛṣṇamaikṣata .. 27 ..
and Arjuna, embarrassed by the rebuke, looked toward Kṛṣṇa.
1.4.64.55
tamāha lalitaṃ kṛṣṇaḥ phālgunaṃ paramaṃ vacaḥ ..
Kṛṣṇa spoke this charming and supreme word to Phālguna:
1.4.64.56
ātmaupayikamevedaṃ bhaimi putro'bhyabhāṣata .. 28 ..
"What the son of Bhīma's son spoke was only suited to himself.
1.4.64.57
navakoṭiyuto'nena palāśī nihataḥ purā ..
Formerly, a meat-eater accompanied by ninety million [demons] was slain by him
1.4.64.58
kṣaṇādeva ca pātāle śrūyate mahadadbhutam .. 29 ..
in an instant in Pātāla—a great wonder heard of!
1.4.64.59
punaḥ prakṣyāmade tvenaṃ kvenopāyena kauravān..
Let us question him again: 'By what means will you slay the Kauravas
1.4.64.60
muhūrtāddhaṃsi brūhīti pṛcchayatāṃ cāha taṃ jayaḥ .. 1.2.66.30 ..
in a muhūrta? Speak!'" And Jaya said, "Let him be asked."
1.4.64.61
tataḥ smaranyādaveṃdro bhaimiputramabhāṣata .. 31 ..
Then, smiling, the lord of the Yādavas spoke to the son of Bhīma's son:
1.4.64.62
bhīpmadroṇakṛpadrauṇikarṇaduryodhanādibhiḥ ..
"Protected by Bhīṣma, Droṇa, Kṛpa, Drauṇi, Karṇa, Duryodhana, and others,
1.4.64.63
guptāṃ tryaṃbakadurjeyāṃ senāṃ haṃsi kathaṃ kṣaṇāt .. 32 ..
difficult to conquer even for Tryambaka—how can you slay this army in an instant?
1.4.64.64
ayaṃ mahānvismayaste vacaso bhaiminaṃdana ..
This is a great wonder arising from your words, O son of Bhīma's offspring,
1.4.64.65
saṃbhūtaḥ sarvarājñāṃ ca phālgunasya ca dhīmataḥ .. 33 ..
both for all the kings and for wise Phālguna.
1.4.64.66
tadbrūhi kenopāyena muhūrtāddhaṃsi kauravān ..
Therefore tell us: by what means will you slay the Kauravas in a muhūrta?
1.4.64.67
upāyavīryaṃ te jñātvā maṃsyāmo vayamapyuta .. 34 ..
Having learned the power of your means, we too shall believe [you]."
1.4.64.68
.. sūta uvāca .. ..
Sūta said:
1.4.64.69
ityukto vāsudevena sarvabhūteśvareṇa ca ..
Addressed thus by Vāsudeva, the lord of all beings,
1.4.64.70
siṃhavakṣāḥ parvatābho nānābhūṣaṇabhūṣitaḥ .. 35 ..
With a chest like a lion's, resembling a mountain, adorned with various ornaments,
1.4.64.71
ghaṭāsyo ghaṭahāsaśca ūrdhvakeśo'tidīpti mān ..
having a face like a jar, with a pot-like laugh, hair bristling upwards, possessing great splendor,
1.4.64.72
vidyudakṣo vāyujavo yaścecchennāśayejjagat .. 36 ..
having eyes like lightning, swift as the wind, who could destroy the world if he so wished—
1.4.64.73
devīdattātulabalo barbarīko'bhyabhāṣata ..
Barbarīka, granted incomparable strength by the Goddess, spoke:
1.4.64.74
yadi vo mānasaṃ vīrā upāyasya pradarśane .. 37 ..
“O heroes, if your mind is set on demonstrating an expedient,
1.4.64.75
tadahaṃ darśayāmyeṣa paśyadhvaṃ sahakeśavāḥ ..
then behold, I will show it along with Keśava!
1.4.64.76
ityuktvā dhanurāropya saṃdadhe viśikhaṃ tvaran ..
Having spoken thus, having strung his bow, he quickly fixed an arrow
1.4.64.77
niḥśalyaṃ cāpi saṃpūrṇaṃ siṃdūrābheṇa bhasmanā ..38..
that had no tip and was filled with ash resembling vermilion.
1.4.64.78
ākarṇamākṛpya ca taṃ mumoca mukhādathodbhūtamabhūcca bhasma .. 39 ..
Drawing it to his ear, he released it; then from its tip ash sprang forth,
1.4.64.79
senādvaye tacca papāta śīghraṃ yasyaiva yatrāsti ca mṛtyumarma ..
and swiftly fell upon both armies wherever each one's mortal vulnerable spot was:
1.4.64.80
sarvaromasu bhīṣmasya kaṃṭhe rādheyadroṇayoḥ .. 1.2.66.40 ..
upon all the body hairs of Bhīṣma; on the throat of Karṇa and of Droṇa;
1.4.64.81
ūrau duryodhanasyāpi śalyasyāpi ca vakṣasi ..
upon the thigh of Duryodhana, and also on the chest of Śalya;
1.4.64.82
kaṃṭhe ca śakunerdīptaṃ bhagadattasya cāpatat .. 41 ..
and that glowing [ash] fell upon the throat of Śakuni and of Bhagadatta;
1.4.64.83
kṛṣṇasya pādatala lake kaṃṭhe drupadamatsyayoḥ ..
on the sole of Kṛṣṇa's foot; on the throat of Drupada and of Matsya;
1.4.64.84
śikhaṃḍinastathā kaṭyāṃ kaṃṭhe senāpatestathā .. 42 ..
likewise on the waist of Śikhaṇḍin; and on the throat of the commander-in-chief.
1.4.64.85
papāta raktaṃ tadbhasma yatra yeṣāṃ ca marma ca ..
That red ash fell wherever the vulnerable spots of those [warriors] lay;
1.4.64.86
kevalaṃ caiva pāṃḍūnāṃ kṛpadroṇyośca nāspṛśata .. 43 ..
it did not touch only the Pāṇḍavas, Kṛpa, and the son of Droṇa.
1.4.64.87
iti kṛtvā tato bhūyo barbarīko'bhyabhāṣata ..
Having done this, Barbarīka spoke once again:
1.4.64.88
dṛṣṭaṃ bhavadbhirevaṃ yanmayā marma nirīkṣitam .. 44 ..
‘You have seen how the vulnerable spots have been surveyed by me.
1.4.64.89
adhunā pātayiṣyāmi marmasveṣāṃ śitāñcharān ..
Now I shall release sharpened arrows upon these vulnerable points—
1.4.64.90
devīdattānamoghākhyānyairmariṣyaṃtyamī kṣaṇāt .. 45 ..
granted by the Goddess, known as unfailing, by which they will die in an instant.
1.4.64.91
śapathā vaḥ svadharmasya śastraṃ grāhyaṃ na vaḥ kvacit ..
By the oath of your own duty, you must nowhere take up weapons!
1.4.64.92
muhūrtātpātayiṣyāmi śatrūnetāñchitaiḥ śaraiḥ .. 46 ..
Within an hour I will strike down these enemies with sharpened arrows.’
1.4.64.93
tato vismitacittānāṃ yudhiṣṭhirapurogiṇām ..
Then, among those whose minds were astonished, led by Yudhiṣṭhira,
1.4.64.94
āsīnninādaḥ sumahānsādhusādhviti śaṃsa tām .. 47 ..
a great roar arose from those who praised him, crying, ‘Well done! Well done!’
1.4.64.95
vāsudevaśca saṃkruddhaścakreṇa niśitena ca ..
And Vāsudeva, greatly enraged, with his sharp discus,
1.4.64.96
evaṃ bruvata evāsya śiraśchittvā nyapātayat .. 48 ..
struck off and dropped his head even as he was speaking thus.
1.4.64.97
tataḥ kṣaṇātsarvamāsīdāvigraṃ rājamaṃ ḍalam ..
Then in an instant the entire circle of kings became agitated.
1.4.64.98
vyalokayankeśavaṃ te vismitāścābhavanbhṛśam .. 49 ..
They gazed at Keśava and were exceedingly astonished,
1.4.64.99
kimetaditi prāhuśca barbarīkaḥ kuto hataḥ..
and said, ‘What is this? Why was Barbarīka slain?’
1.4.64.100
pāṃḍavāścāpi mumucuraśrūṇi sahapārthivāḥ .. 1.2.66.50 ..
And the Pāṇḍavas along with the kings shed tears.
1.4.64.101
hāhā putreti ca gṛṇanpraskhalaṃśca padepade ..
Lamenting, ‘Alas, alas, my son!’ and stumbling at every step,
1.4.64.102
ghaṭotkaco'pataddīnaḥ putropari vimūrchitaḥ .. 51 ..
miserable Ghaṭotkaca collapsed upon his son, fainting away.
1.4.64.103
etasminnaṃtare devyaścaturdaśa samāyayuḥ .. 52 ..
In that interval, fourteen goddesses arrived:
1.4.64.104
siddhāṃbikā kroḍamātā kapālī tārā suvarṇā ca trilokajetrī ..
Siddhāmbikā, Kroḍamātā, Kapālī, Tārā, Suvarṇā, Trilokajetrī,
1.4.64.105
bhāṇeśvarī carcikā caikavīrā yogeśvarī caṃḍikā traipurā ca ..53..
Bhāṇeśvarī, Carcikā, Ekavīrā, Yogeśvarī, Caṇḍikā, Traipurā,
1.4.64.106
bhūtāṃbikā harasiddhistathāmūḥ saṃprāpya tasthurnṛpavismayaṃkarāḥ ..
Bhūtāmbikā, and Harasiddhi; having arrived, they stood causing wonder among the kings.
1.4.64.107
śrīcaṃḍikā''śvāsya tatau ghaṭotkacaṃ provāca vākyaṃ mahatā svareṇa .. 54 ..
Then illustrious Caṇḍikā consoled Ghaṭotkaca and spoke words in a loud voice:
1.4.64.108
śṛṇudhvaṃ pārthivāḥ sarve kṛṣṇena viditātmanā ..
“Listen, all you kings, to the reason by which Barbarīka of great might
1.4.64.109
hetunā yena nihato barbarīko mahābalaḥ .. 55 ..
was slain by Kṛṣṇa who knows the true self.
1.4.64.110
merumūrdhni purā pṛthvī samavetāndivaukasaḥ ..
Formerly, upon the summit of Mount Meru, the Earth, oppressed by a burden,
1.4.64.111
bhārākrāṃtā jagādaitānbhāro'pa hriyatāṃ hi me .. 56 ..
spoke to the assembled gods: ‘Indeed, let my burden be removed!’
1.4.64.112
tato brahmā prāha viṣṇuṃ bhagavaṃstvamidaṃ śṛṇu ..
Then Brahmā said to Viṣṇu: ‘O Blessed One, hear this:
1.4.64.113
devāstvānugamiṣyaṃti bhāraṃ hara bhuvaḥ prabho .. 57 ..
the gods will follow you; relieve the burden of the Earth, O Lord!’
1.4.64.114
tatastatheti tanmene vacanaṃ viṣṇuravyayaḥ ..
Then imperishable Viṣṇu agreed to that statement, saying, ‘So be it.’
1.4.64.115
etasminnaṃtare bāhumuddhṛtyoccairabhāṣata .. 58 ..
In that interval, raising his arm, he spoke loudly—
1.4.64.116
sūryavarceti yakṣeṃdraścaturāśītikoṭipaḥ ..
the Yakṣa lord named Sūryavarcas, lord of eighty-four crores:
1.4.64.117
kimarthaṃ mānuṣe loke bhavadbhirjanma kāryate .. 59 ..
‘For what purpose is a birth to be taken by you in the mortal world,
1.4.64.118
mayi tiṣṭhati doṣāṇāmanekānāṃ mahāspade ..
which is a great repository of many faults, while I am here?
1.4.64.119
sarve bhavaṃto modaṃtu svargeṣu saha viṣṇunā .. 1.2.66.60 ..
May all of you rejoice in heaven together with Viṣṇu!
1.4.64.120
ahameko'vatīryaitānhaniṣyāmi bhuvo bharān ..
I alone, having descended, will slay these burdens of the Earth.
1.4.64.121
svadharmaśapathā vo vai saṃti cejjanma prāpsyatha .. 61 ..
Indeed, let it be an oath upon your own duty if you take birth!’
1.4.64.122
ityuktavacane brahmā kruddhastaṃ samabhāṣata ..
When these words had been spoken, Brahmā, enraged, addressed him:
1.4.64.123
durmate sarvadevānāmaviṣahyaṃ mahābharam ..62..
‘O foolish one, this great burden is unbearable even for all the gods;
1.4.64.124
svasādhyaṃ brūṣe mohāttvaṃ śāpayogyo'si bāliśa ..
through delusion you claim it can be accomplished by yourself! You deserve a curse, foolish one!
1.4.64.125
deśakālocitaṃ svīyaṃ parasya ca balaṃ hṛdā .. 63 ..
One who speaks to rulers without considering in his heart
1.4.64.126
avicāryaiva prabhuṣu vakti so'rhati daṃḍanam ..
his own strength and that of others suitable for the place and time, deserves punishment.
1.4.64.127
tasmādbhūbhāraharaṇe yuddhasyopakrame sati .. 64 ..
Therefore, when the war for removing the Earth's burden commences,
1.4.64.128
śarīranāśaṃ kṛṣṇāttvamavāpsyasi na saṃśayaḥ ..
you will obtain destruction of your body at the hands of Kṛṣṇa, without a doubt.’
1.4.64.129
evaṃ śapto brahmaṇā'sau viṣṇumetadayācata .. 65 ..
Cursed thus by Brahmā, he begged this of Viṣṇu:
1.4.64.130
yadyevaṃ bhavitā nāśastadekaṃ deva prārthaye ..
“If my destruction is to be thus, O lord, I make this one request:
1.4.64.131
janmaprabhṛti me dehi matiṃ sarvārthasādhanīm .. 66 ..
Grant me, from my birth onward, an intellect that accomplishes all purposes.” // 66
1.4.64.132
tatastatheti taṃ prāha keśavo devasaṃsadi ..
Then Keśava said to him in the assembly of the gods, “So be it.
1.4.64.133
śiraste pūjayiṣyaṃti devyāḥ pūjyo bhaviṣyasi .. 67 ..
They shall worship your head; you shall be worshipful to the goddess.” // 67
1.4.64.134
ityuktvā cāvatīrṇo'sau saha devairharistadā ..
Having spoken thus, Hari then descended [to earth] together with the gods;
1.4.64.135
harirnāma sa kṛṣṇo'sau bhavaṃtaste tathā surāḥ .. 68 ..
that Hari was named Kṛṣṇa, and you, indeed, were those gods. // 68
1.4.64.136
sūryavarcāḥ sa cāyaṃ hi nihato bhaimiputrakaḥ ..
And he who was Sūryavarcas, the son of the daughter of Bhīma, has indeed been slain.
1.4.64.137
prākchāpaṃ brahmaṇaḥ smṛtvā hatonena mahātmanā ..
Remembering Brahmā’s former curse, he was slain by this noble one.
1.4.64.138
tasmāddoṣo na kṛṣṇe'smindraṣṭavyaḥ sarvabhū mipaiḥ ..69..
Therefore, no fault should be seen in this Kṛṣṇa by all the rulers of the earth.
1.4.64.139
.. śrīkṛṣṇa uvāca .. ..
The glorious Kṛṣṇa said:
1.4.64.140
yaduktaṃ bhūmipā devyā tattathaiva na saṃśayaḥ .. 1.2.66.70 ..
