Thus ends the ninth chapter, named 'The Māhātmya of the Damanaka Plant' in the Manifestation of the Earth, in the Kaumārikākhaṇḍa of the first section, the Māheśvarakhaṇḍa, in the glorious Skandapurāṇa consisting of eighty-one thousand verses.
