adyāpi dīpadānaṃ yaḥ kurute tatra sādaram ..
saṃprāpte kārtike māsi snātvā tatra jale śubhe ..
sa sarvapātakairmukto brahmaloke mahīyate .. 109 ..

Sūta said: / Even today, whoever reverently offers a lamp there, / having bathed there in the auspicious water when the month of Kārtika has arrived, / is freed from all sins and honored in the realm of Brahmā.
