tato roga parikleśādbhojanaṃ na cakāra saḥ ..
dāghārdito jale tasminsnāto bhaktivivarjitaḥ ..
saktūnkṛtvopadhāne tānsa ca supto niśāgame .. 54 ..

Then, owing to the affliction of his disease, he did not take food. / Tormented by heat, he bathed in that water devoid of devotion; / making a pillow of that barley-meal, he fell asleep when night arrived.
