Thus ends the forty-first chapter, entitled 'Description of the Origin of the Hermitage of Mārkaṇḍeya,' in the Arbuda Section, the third [part] of the Prabhāsakhaṇḍa, in the glorious Skanda Mahāpurāṇa, a compendium of eighty-one thousand [verses].
