Thus ends the two hundred and twenty-ninth chapter, entitled 'Description of the Māhātmya of Gaṅgā', in the first [part], the Prabhāsakṣetramāhātmya, of the seventh [section], the Prabhāsakhaṇḍa, in the glorious Skandapurāṇa, a compendium of eighty-one thousand [verses].
