Formerly on earth it was known by the name Bhairaveśvara; / but when this age arrived, it became named Śākalyeśvara. / Thus ends the seventy-fourth chapter, named 'The Description of the Māhātmya of Śākalyeśvara,' in the first [part], the Prabhāsakṣetramāhātmya, in the seventh [section], the Prabhāsakhaṇḍa, in the glorious Skanda Mahāpurāṇa containing eighty-one thousand verses.
