dātavyaṃ satataṃ dānaṃ brāhmaṇebhyo mayādhvare ..
vāritenāpi na stheyaṃ dātavyaṃ niścitaṃ mayā ..
yācitaścenna dāsyāmi tadā vyartho mamā'dhvaraḥ ..7.2.17.250..

A gift must constantly be given by me to the brahmins in this sacrifice; / even if forbidden, I shall not desist; I must surely give. / If I do not give when asked, then my sacrifice will be in vain."
