baliṃ praśaṃsaṃti guruṃ tathānye hotārameke parivārameke ..
prajāpaternāpi surādhipasya samāpyate cedatha yāsyati dhuvam..
pradāya rājyaṃ dvijapuṃgavebhyaḥ saputramitraiḥ sahito rasātalam ..261..

Some praise Bali, others the guru, some the Hotṛ priest, and some the retinue: / "[This sacrifice is like that] neither of Prajāpati nor of the lord of the gods; and when it concludes, he will certainly go / to Rasātala, together with his sons and friends, having bestowed the kingdom upon the best of the twice-born."
