By the command of Indradyumna, residing in the city of Avanti, who was eager to go on pilgrimage: the priest's brother Vidyāpati sets out to go to Puruṣottamakṣetra, surrounded by the Rohiṇī pool, the wish-granting tree, and other landmarks; his sighting of a Śabara on the road; and the conversation between Vidyāpati and the Śabara.
