evaṃ piturvacaḥ śrutvā putraḥ krodhasamanvitaḥ..
Hearing this speech of his father, the son, overcome with anger,
2.4.12.88
pitaraṃ prāha duṣṭātmā caladoṣṭho viniṃdayan .. 41 ..
spoke to his father, the wicked soul reviling him with trembling lips:

seeing the gathering of seers, the killer of living beings formed the desire to kill [them],
2.4.12.105

vyādhaprayuktamākarṇya dharmaṃ ca ṛṣiṇā dvijaḥ ..
Hearing the duty explained by the seer to the hunter, the brahmin [mouse],
2.4.12.114
mauṣakaṃ dehamutsṛjya divyadeho'bhavattadā .. 53 ..
casting off the mouse's body, then attained a celestial body.
2.4.12.115
viśvāmitraṃ praṇamyātha svavṛttāṃtaṃ nivedya ca ..
Then, bowing to Viśvāmitra and recounting his own tale,
2.4.12.116
anujñāto'tha ṛṣiṇā vimānastho divaṃ yayau .. 54 ..
permitted by the seer, he mounted an aerial chariot and went to heaven.
2.4.12.117
vismito gādhiputrastu vyādhaścaiva viśeṣataḥ ..
The son of Gādhi was amazed, and especially so was the hunter.

2.4.12.129
tato bhuṃjīta vipreṃdra svayaṃ harimanusmaran .. 2.4.12.60 ..
then, O best of brahmins, one should eat oneself, remembering Hari.

and whatever fault of improper touch occurs at the time of eating,
2.4.12.135

from eating prohibited food, and from food defilement while eating—
2.4.12.136
