And likewise Vāṭhasuhālī, Māṇajā, and Sānadīyā; / Ānandīyā, Pāṭaḍīa, and after that Ṭīkolīyā; / Gaṃbhī, Dhaṇīā, Mātrā, and Nātamorā as well; / Valolā, Rāṃtyajā, Rūpolā, and Bodhaṇī; / Chatroṭā, Alu, and after this Vāsataḍīā; / Jāṣāsaṇā, Gotīyā, Caraṇīyā, and Dudhīyā; / Hālolā, Vaiholā, Asālā, and Nālāḍā; / Deholo, Sauhāsīyā, and Saṃhālīyā as well: / these fifty villages in proper order were duly granted / to the brahmins by Rāma according to the rules, as their home. / Beyond this I will describe the lineages of each home, / and the ancestral sages according to the rules. / Knowing the tutelary goddess and the ancestral sages, / the home is known, and the twice-born dwelling in that home.

Nārada said:
How does the gotra arise, and how is the family known? / Or how is the goddess known? Tell me that truly.

Brahmā said:
Sītāpura is the first, having two ancestral sages; / Kuśa and Vatsa have been proclaimed to you here. / In Śrīkṣetra, the second, there are three gotras: / Chāndānasa, Vatsa, and Kuśa as the third. / In the third, Mudgala, Kuśa, and Bhāradvāja; / and Śoholī is the fourth, having the ancestral sage Kuśa; / Jyeṣṭhalā is the fifth, proclaimed as Vatsa and Kuśa; / Śreyasthāna is the sixth, Bhāradvāja and Kuśa; / Daṃtālī is the seventh, Bhāradvāja and Kuśa; / know Vaṭasthāna as the eighth, O best of sons; / the gotras there are Kuśa, Kutsa, and Bhāradvāja; / Rājñīpura is the ninth, having the ancestral sage Bhāradvāja;
