iti śrīskāṃde mahāpurāṇa ekāśīti sāhasryāṃ saṃhitāyāṃ caturthe kāśīkhaṃḍe pūrvāddhe nirṛtivaruṇalokavarṇanaṃnāma dvādaśo'dhyāyaḥ .. 12 ..

Thus ends the twelfth chapter, entitled 'Description of the Realms of Nirṛti and Varuṇa', in the first half of the Kāśīkhaṇḍa in the fourth part of the venerable Skanda Mahāpurāṇa, consisting of eighty-one thousand verses.
