Even when agitated by obstacles, one who does not abandon Avimukta, / having obtained supreme splendor, reaches an end to suffering. / Who of sound intellect would not resort to Kāśī, which calms the flood of great sins, / produces an accumulation of merit, and in the end grants enjoyment and liberation? / Knowing this, an intelligent man should not leave Avimukta, / for by the grace of Avimukta one becomes liberated. / How can I declare with six mouths the māhātmya of Avimukta, / when even the thousand-mouthed one is unable to do so fully? // Thus ends the twenty-fifth chapter, named 'The Meeting of Skanda and Agastya', in the first half of the Kāśīkhaṇḍa, in the glorious Skanda Mahāpurāṇa consisting of eighty-one thousand verses.
