iti śrīskāṃde mahāpurāṇa ekāśītisāhasryāṃ saṃhitāyāṃ caturthe kāśīkhaṃḍe pūrvārddhe gaṃgāmahimānāmāṣṭāviṃśatitamo'dhyāya ..28..

Thus ends the twenty-eighth chapter, named 'The Greatness of the Gaṅgā', in the first half of the Kāśīkhaṇḍa, in the glorious Skanda Mahāpurāṇa, a compendium of eighty-one thousand verses.
