Skanda said: / “Thus the Śaileśvara liṅga has been told to you, O great sage; / now I shall relate the origin of Ratneśvara. / Having heard the māhātmya of Śaileśa with supreme faith, a man, / casting off the slough of sin, attains the world of Śiva.” / Thus ends the sixty-sixth chapter, named “The Determination of Śaileśa and Other Liṅgas,” in the second half of the Kāśīkhaṇḍa, in the fourth [book] of the glorious Skandapurāṇa, a compendium of eighty-one thousand verses.
