tataḥ prabhṛti vikhyātamaśvatīrthaṃ dharātale ..
gaṃgātīre śubhe puṇye kānyakubjasamīpagam ..
yasminsnāne kṛte martyo vājimedhaphalaṃ labhet .. 37 ..

From then on, it became renowned on the earth as Aśvatīrtha, / near Kānyakubja on the auspicious and holy bank of the Gaṅgā, / bathing in which a mortal attains the fruit of a horse-sacrifice. // 37
