yasmindṛṣṭe'thavā spṛṣṭe kīrtite vā dvijottamāḥ ..
pātakaṃ nāśamāyāti bhāskareṇa tamo yathā .. 2 ..
punaṃti sarvatīrthāni snānāddānādasaṃśayam ..
puṣkarālokanādeva sarvapāpaiḥ pramucyate .. 3 ..

at the sight, touch, or glorification of which, O best of the twice-born, / sin is destroyed just as darkness is by the sun. / All sacred fords purify through bathing and giving, without doubt; / yet by merely beholding Puṣkara, one is freed from all sins.
