sthāsyaṃti vatsaraṃ yāvadetadāha pitāmahaḥ .. 34 ..

his ancestors, afflicted in body by hunger and thirst and filled with sorrow,
will remain [so] for a whole year; thus said the grandfather [Brahmā].
