tasmātte nirṇayaṃ vacmi bhartṛyajñena yatpurā ..
ānarttādhipateḥ proktaṃ samyakchrāddhasya lakṣaṇam .. 26 ..

Therefore I will tell you the settled conclusion which of old by Bhartṛyajña / was declared to the ruler of Ānarta as the proper characteristic of the śrāddha. (26)
