svayamaśnāti vā toyaṃ pivetsa syātpitṛdruhaḥ ..
svarge'pi ca na te toyaṃ labhaṃte nānnameva ca .. 57 ..
O ruler of men, he who eats or drinks water himself without having given water and grain to the ancestors / is a injurer of the ancestors; / even in heaven they receive neither water nor food.
