kṛṣṇasya sadṛśo varṇastena jaṃbū nagottamaḥ .. 26 ..
The rose-apple tree, surrounded by clouds, is dark in color and destroys sins; / its color is like that of Kṛṣṇa; therefore the rose-apple is the foremost among trees.
