anyatrāpi mahādānaṃ pāpapiṇḍo harennṛpa..6.270.20.
ekajanmakṛtaṃ pāpaṃ nijakāyena nirmitam..
kapāleśvaradevasya sahasraguṇitaṃ haret..21..

Elsewhere too, O king, this great gift, the sin-effigy, takes away / the sin committed in a single lifetime and produced by one's own body;
[at the shrine] of the god Kapāleśvara, it takes away a thousandfold.
