Skandapurana 5.269.6

5.269.6

tadā svarūpaṃ pṛthvyādi pūjayetpāpakṛnnaraḥ..
tathā sa mucyate pāpāttatkṛtāddhi na saṃśayaḥ..6..

then the man who committed the sin should worship [it as] his own form, beginning with the earth [element];
thus he is freed from the sin committed by him, without doubt.
